About Me

A Supportive Hug

My
Story

I embarked on my Mental Health Career in 2016 after several years of working in accounting. I completed both my practicum and internship working in case management, co-facilitating groups in Substance Abuse, court-ordered DWI, BPD, and self-injurious behaviors.

I have also worked in a Day Treatment Center with adolescents dealing with traumatic life stressors that made it difficult to meet educational goals in a regular class setting due to behavior deficits. I serve a diverse population that includes engaging in therapy with child clients in the school setting; adults/couples within the community, Caregiver support and education on Dementia, and the flexibility of offering Telehealth therapy to meet the needs of those with busy schedules or with a desire to receive therapy in the comfort of their home.

Working in Mental Health has always been my passion. I worked in a field for many years that did not bring me joy until one day God said it was time to return to school to pursue my true love, counseling! I feel maybe I had gone through enough life experiences to understand the future patients I would encounter and could truly sit with them in their pain and know exactly how they felt because I had been there personally.

I am excited to work with you and look forward to many thought-provoking conversations, laughs and the ability to work alongside you and assist in changing your way of thinking and looking at life to begin the process of change to become your best self, let's get to work!
