Story

Katina C. Reuting, MA, LCMHC, CDP
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Certified Dementia Practitioner
Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Bachelor of Science in Psychology – Crisis Counseling
Graduate Certificate in Military Resilience

I began my career in mental health in 2016 after several years in accounting. During my graduate studies, I completed both my practicum and internship in case management, co-facilitating therapeutic groups for individuals with substance use disorders, court-ordered DWI, Borderline Personality Disorder, and self-injurious behaviors.

Since then, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, gaining experience with a diverse population, including:

  • Children in school-based settings

  • Adults, couples, service members, and veterans within the community

  • Caregivers seeking education and support around dementia

  • Clients utilizing Telehealth to receive care from the comfort of their home

Working with service members and veterans is a particularly meaningful part of my practice. I am committed to supporting those who have served our country, helping them navigate the unique challenges they face, including stress, trauma, and life transitions.

My passion for mental health is deeply personal. After many years in a profession that did not align with my purpose, I felt a strong spiritual calling to return to school and pursue counseling. I believe my own life experiences have uniquely prepared me to walk alongside others in their pain with genuine empathy and understanding.

I am deeply honored to do this work and look forward to engaging in meaningful conversations, sharing moments of laughter, and helping you challenge thought patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we will work toward personal growth and lasting change.

Let’s get to work!

"Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn't mean you can, should, or need to do it alone."
